The Soft & Cuddly Medicine Show
a live action game played at an undisclosed location
In 1987, John George Jones, a post-punk computer coder, was snared in a moral panic not of his making. His grotesque video game Soft & Cuddly had provoked moral outrage amongst the British establishment. Thirty years later, City Lights Books and Jarett Kobek host a live action recreation of the S&C experience in a secret location. Come discover what Jones called a "true morality, a new sort of real love." Find the android mom's body parts!
Event will be followed by an auction of peculiar objects.
By invitation Only. Invitation become available at the front counter of City Lights Bookstore Monday August 28, 2017 on a first come, first serve basis. Admission is free. No reservations accepted. No invites can be held. The author will be signing books at this event. Call 415-362-8193 ext. 24 to check on invitation availability beginning 8/28.
