San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguia explores Mexico from the turn of the last century through postcards in the new exhibition, "Piece of Mexico: Postcards of Guillermo Kahlo and His Contemporaries," at San Francisco's Main Library. Join him on Saturday, September 14th, 1:00 pm at the Library's Koret Auditorium for the opening event!

The address is 100 Larkin Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. 

The event is free and lasts until December 29, 2013. 

This exhibit, from the private collection of Alejandro Murguia includes the work of international photographers Willhelm Kahlo, a German photographer who nationalized his name to Guillermo, Abel Briquet (France), F. Leon (Oaxaca), Caecilie Seler (Germany), CB Waite (US), and Felix Miret (Mexico).

The events are presented by the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, the Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco and Office of Research and Sponsored Programs of San Francisco State University. City Lights Foundation is a co-sponsor,
